Blossom Nursery school is opening in September 2008 for the care and education of 2 to 5 year olds. Situated in the heart of Cranleigh, Surrey, it is easily accessible for families in the village and local area.
Our aim is to provide a safe, supportive, fun and educational environment where your children are encouraged to discover and explore their surroundings with an emphasis on learning through play.
We are fully supportive of the Early Years Foundation Stage, the new statutory framework for the Learning, Development and Care for children aged from birth to five. It is a comprehensive legal document produced by the Department for Children, Schools and Families. Copies are also available to view at Blossom Nursery.
We offer a rich and varied environment, with three rooms and two outside spaces to explore. A wide variety of creative opportunities are available daily, including music, drama and P.E.
As parents/primary carers, you are your child's most enduring educator. You have much to contribute to your child's development and education. We aim to foster an environment of collaboration and partnership with you, to understand your child and to plan learning experiences specific to their interests and abilities.
We operate a key person system to provide the best possible continuity of care, offering a safe, reassuring relationship with the nursery throughout your child's time at Blossom Nursery.
We encourage children to become competent learners who can be resilient, capable and self-reliant. Individual development records and scrapbooks are kept during your child's time with us and your contributions to these are most welcome.
We are aware of the importance of healthy eating habits and offer a self selecting snack bar during the session where children can socialise with their friends whilst sharing a nutritious snack and drink.
